PupPal helps caregivers and veterinarians collaborate around canine epilepsy care. We take privacy seriously and collect the minimum information necessary to provide the service. We never sell your personal data.

Information we collect

• Account information: email, name, hashed password, and basic app preferences (e.g. timezone).
• Care data you choose to enter: dog profiles, seizure logs, medications, lab results, journal notes, videos, and attachments.
• Usage information: device/browser metadata, pages visited, and coarse diagnostic events to keep the service reliable.

How we use your information

• To operate core features (logging, reminders, insights, and vet sharing).
• To generate private, sharable reports you explicitly request.
• To improve accuracy and safety of our features and infrastructure.

How we share information

• Service providers that help us run PupPal (cloud hosting, analytics, SMS/email). They may only process data on our behalf under contract.
• People you invite or share links with (e.g. your veterinarian). You control what is shared and can revoke access at any time.
• Legal or safety requests if required by law or to protect users, animals, or the platform.

Data retention

We retain your account and care data while your account is active. You may delete your data and close your account from within the product or by contacting us. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.

Your choices & rights

• Access, export, correct, or delete your data.
• Revoke vet-share links at any time.
• Opt out of non-essential emails.

Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, role separation, and least-privilege access. No method is perfect, but we continually improve our safeguards.

Children

PupPal is not directed to children under 16 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect improvements or legal requirements. Material changes will be announced in-app or via email.
